Jules Christie

I have been working as a shamanic practitioner since 2008, after taking a two-year practitioner training in the Foundation For Shamanic Studies core shamanic training, delivered by the UK faculty of that time.  I have also studied with Sandra Ingerman and Betsy Bergstrom.

Over the last ten years I have offered shamanic healing and workshops from Healthy Oxford, Eau de Vie and the Yoga Barn and I am a regular guest at Wood Festival.  I have taken non-certified courses in psychodynamic practice and somatic therapy to provide grounded support during shamanic sessions (at Oxford University and the Cambridge Centre for Body Psychotherapy.)   I’m also a qualified teacher with a subject specialism in the arts.

As well as shamanic healing sessions, I offer workshops and one to one tuition in shamanic journeying; bespoke workshops for professional organisations, artists and musicians; and a limited number of informal shamanic apprenticeships.

I’m a certified Dance of Awareness Facilitator and the creator and director of Barefootdancing: a meditational dance form which explores the multiform permutations of form and formlessness.  I offer short courses in shamanic dance mediumship, movement trance and visionary experience, earth fertility ceremonies and the healing and transformational power of ritual movement.
